| Fire glass blocks  The glass blocks installers, GBW Contracts Ltd, hands over the project to Mansell after a successful completion. GBW's involvement was the supplying and installing of the La Rochere Bubble patterned fire glass blocks to 27 windows in the new teaching blocks, allowing extra light into the press classrooms and also providing visual features to the school. The fire rated glass blocks achieve a 60 minutes Integrity and 30 minutes Thermal Isolation where Integrity stands for how long the wall will stand up against fire before it collapses and Isolation (also called Insulation or Radiation) stands for how long can someone pass by before the heat gets too much to pass through.
