| USG Stony Point plant awarded OSHA VPP Star USG Corp. announced that its plant in Stony Point, NY, has earned the prestigious VPP Star award for outstanding safety performance and processes. The Stony Point plant manufactures the company's market leading SHEETROCK Brand Gypsum Panels. The 500,000 square-foot facility has been operating in Stony Point since 1955 and currently employs approximately 145 people. The Star is the highest award of OSHA's Voluntary Protection Program (VPP). Employees, management and OSHA work together to implement safety and health programs and processes that protect employees more effectively because they go beyond OSHA regulations.
