| Keynote speaker named for COOLWALL Symposium Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., global champion and respected thought leader on issues of sustainability and the environment, will be the keynote speaker at the first COOLWALL Symposium sponsored by Textured Coatings of America (TexCote), to be held Feb. 6, 2009 in conjunction with the World of Concrete in Las Vegas. Created especially for architects and home improvement professionals, this symposium will explore the challenges of designing, building and renovating energy-efficient structures and simple solutions available today. In his talk, Kennedy will discuss his views on sustainability and how TexCote's COOLWALL Coating Systems, a green exterior high build solution for tilt-up and pre-cast concrete, can help architects and home improvement professionals meet environmental demands in the commercial, residential and public works construction sectors. Andre O. Desjarlais, research group leader for the U.S. Dept. of Energy's Oak Ridge National Laboratory, will also present findings from a study conducted by his organization that showed COOLWALL coatings can reduce cooling costs by as much as 21.9 percent. write your comments about the article :: © 2008 Construction News :: home page |
