| Europe´s biggest display of IT for the construction sector BAU IT is a special display within BAU 2009 dedicated to the subject of IT in construction. Covering around 5,000 square metres of exhibition space, BAU IT is the largest display of its kind in Europe. BAU 2009, Europe´s biggest and most important trade fair for architecture, materials and systems, takes place from 12 to 17 January 2009 at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre. In all areas of trade and industry business processes are subject to ongoing change. It is important therefore to keep working methods and tools up-to-date to meet changing requirements. This is particularly true in the building industry. Architects, planners, building firms and real-estate professionals are all experiencing rapid change in their processes. It is becoming ever more important to ensure continuity of data right through the building chain. Information has to be up-to-date and needs-oriented, and also available for use on mobile communications. The competition 'Built on IT – Building jobs with a future' is being held as part of the BAU IT display. Prizes will be awarded to IT-supported processes and solutions that optimise the job of building and construction.
