Thyssenkrupp Elevator announces its synergy L series MRL system

ThyssenKrupp Elevator, an international elevator manufacturer, announced its synergy L series Machine Room-Less (MRL) elevator system. The company had previously made synergy H series available in 2007. The synergy L series combines the best practices found in more than 30 Machine Room-Less (MRL) elevator systems manufactured globally, making it the company's first global elevator system. The synergy line of products provides unprecedented building design flexibility for architects, and utilizes less space than most current MRL elevator models in the market place.

Additional benefits of synergy include the smaller and more energy-efficient, permanent-magnet gearless machine. The technology provides the performance of a much larger, gear-driven system and does not require gear lubricants. Other assets include lower overhead and smaller pit depth than many other MRL applications and no exterior machine room or control panel requirements (where code allows).

The synergy L series accompanies the existing synergy H series, expanding the product line to include additional lower rise applications. The L series represents the second of three products in the synergy series, which will eventually complete ThyssenKrupp Elevator's North American MRL product line. The synergy L series will be competing in the high-rise hydraulic, geared traction, and low-rise gearless traction markets.
