| Impregilo reports financial results for 1H 2008 Italy's largest builder Impregilo SpA. has announced its financial results for the first half of 2008. Net sales for the first half of the year amount to 1,322.2 million euro, a rise of 3.1% on the year earlier period (1,282.7 million euro), while the revenue from operations alone amounted to 1,291.0 million euro (1,237.8 million euro) with an increase of 4.3% compared with the first six months of 2007. The operating profit (EBIT) amounts to 97,0 million euro (50,7 million euro). Financial operations and equity investments generated a net gain of 37.8 million euro in the current period, compared with a net loss of 5.7 million euro in the year-earlier period. Net profit for the first half amounts to 149.7 million euro (5.3 million euro in the corresponding period of the previous year). Orders acquired in the first half of 2008 amount to 1,761.0 million euro.
