| Grafton announces interim results Grafton Group plc, the builders merchants and DIY Group with operations in the UK and Ireland, announced its interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2008. Group turnover for the half year declined by 11 per cent to €1.44 billion and by 2 per cent in constant currency terms. Operating profit was down by 41 per cent to €72.9 million. Profit before tax was down by 50 per cent to €53.4 million. Adjusted earnings per share were down by 47 per cent to 20.6 cent.
