New 2-foot and 3-foot T8 Watt-Miser lamps

Top lighting manufacturers have historically focused on improving the efficiency and performance of the ever-popular 4-foot T8 linear fluorescent lamp. Only GE Consumer & Industrial can provide customers with new 2-foot and 3-foot T8 Watt-Miser lamps that offer up to a 12 percent reduction in wattage for increased energy savings compared with standard 2-foot and 3-foot T8 lamps. Designed for use on instant start ballasts and programmed rapid start ballasts, the new 2-foot lamp offers a savings of $12 per 3-lamp fixture over the lamp's rated life (at $.10/kWh), while providing nearly the same light output as standard T8 lamps - 3132 initial lumens and 41 system watts in a 3-lamp fixture with 2-foot GE F17 Watt-Miser lamps compared with 3458 initial lumens and 46 system watts in a 3-lamp fixture with standard 2-foot T8 lamps.

The new 3-foot lamp offers a savings of $16.80 per 3-lamp fixture over the lamp's rated life (at $.10/kWh), while providing nearly the same light output as standard T8 lamps - 5024 initial lumens and 58 system watts in a 3-lamp fixture with 3-foot GE F25 Watt-Miser lamps compared with 5428 initial lumens and 65 system watts in a 3-lamp fixture with standard 3-foot T8 lamps.

The TCLP-compliant lamps deliver a 24,000-hour rated life at 12 hours per start to extend the re-lamping cycle, as well as a high-quality 80-85 color rendering index (80 for the 5000K lamp, 82 for the 4100K lamp, 85 for the 3500K and 85 for the 3000K).
