Hochtief Construction wins new contracts in Russia and Poland

Hochtief, Germany's largest builder, has been commissioned as the general contractor of four new projects in Eastern Europe. The total order volume amounts to 143 million Euro. While its subsidiary, Hochtief Russia, will be responsible for the construction of a chocolate factory for the Russian arm of the Ferrero group, Hochtief Polska managed to secure a total of three new contracts: a further building for the Warsaw office complex Adgar Plaza, a production facility for medical technology, and a retail center.

At around 91 million Euro, the construction of the Ferrero chocolate factory in Russia is the biggest individual order. The contract between Hochtief Russia and Ferrero Russia Zao, a subsidiary of Ferrero Middle and Eastern Europe GmbH, was signed in early July. The candy factory with air-conditioned storage facility will be built some 180 kilometers east of Moscow near the city of Vladimir. The work is scheduled for completion by the end of 2009.

Hochtief Polska has been commissioned with the implementation of three projects with a total volume of almost 52 million Euro. In Warsaw, the company will erect a further building for the Adgar Plaza office complex. The construction work is due to be finished by October 2009. In a further project, the company will set up a production facility in Tarnowo Podgórne, near Posen, for the investor, Kimball Electronics Poland, a manufacturer of medical technology. The project is expected to be completed by July 2009. By spring 2009, Hochtief Polska has agreed to set up a shopping and service center in Lubin.
