| MMC wins exclusive rights for UAE's new power plant Malaysian engineering group MMC Corporation Bhd announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, MMC Utilities Ltd, had obtained exclusive rights to build a new power plant in the Emirate of Ajman, United Arab Emirates with a potential capacity of up to 1,000 MW. The new power plant is being built to meet the increasing power demands of new residential and commercial projects in Ajman. The agreement, which was signed in Dubai with the Government of Ajman, confers MMC Utilities exclusive rights to conduct technical and economical feasibility studies and, once approved, to establish a concession company that will manage, operate and maintain the power plant for twenty (20) years.
