| Iberdrola awarded 16% of capacity on Italy-Greece interconnection Spanish power company Iberdrola has been awarded 16% of the capacity of electricity interconnection between Italy and Greece put out to tender by the operator Terna for July, which will enable it to transmit more than 29,750 megawatt hours (MWh) through an underwater cable from one country to another during this month. This represents the second milestone achieved by Iberdrola in order to consolidate its presence in the liberalised Greek market, in which it began to operate three months ago after obtaining all the necessary licenses. Specifically, Iberdrola finalised its first trading operation in this country in March, with the sale of energy from Italy through the aforementioned underwater link, of 500 MW in capacity. write your comments about the article :: © 2008 Construction News :: home page |
