| Siemens operates IT for Berlin housing construction company Siemens IT Solutions and Services will take over operation of the IT facilities for the Berlin-based nonprofit housing development and construction company GSW Immobilien GmbH, effective July 2008. The order has a TCV of 13 million euros and is set to run for five years. GSW Immobilien GmbH is responsible for more than 75,000 apartments in Berlin, one of the largest real estate portfolios in the city. In the past, Siemens had already looked after GSW's SAP operation, and is now taking over responsibility for its entire IT infrastructure. This covers the servers, the GSW-specific software applications running on these servers, and all Managed Services, such as desktop management for around 600 workstations. An extended help desk is available to support employees who encounter IT problems. write your comments about the article :: © 2008 Construction News :: home page |
