| Chiyoda licenses technology to win contract in Denmark Chiyoda Corporation, Japan's leading engineering and construction firm, has reached an agreement with Danish company Burmeister & Wain Energy A/S to license its CT-121 flue gas desulfurization process technology for use at Asnaes Power Station, which is owned by Denmark's energy producer Dong Energy A/S. The Asnaes coal-fired power station in Kalundborg is Denmark's largest generating facility, with total capacity of 1,057MW. Chiyoda will license the CT-121 process to BWE, and BWE will be responsible for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC). This is the first contract acquired since Chiyoda executed a technology license agreement for Europe with major Danish energy provider BWE and Italian company Salvatore Trifone & Figli S.p.A., the parent company of BWE, in 2004. write your comments about the article :: © 2008 Construction News :: home page |
