| 'The Architecture of Parking' wins book award The Sir Robert McAlpine International Book Award for Construction 2008 has been won by The Architecture of Parking by Simon Henley. Magnificently illustrated, the title examines the history, design and architectural significance of the parking garage. The Sir Robert McAlpine International Book Award for Construction recognises exceptional writing on the construction or restoration of buildings, building design and methods and the use of new materials and technologies across the construction industry.
