| John Holland to upgrade wastewater treatment plant John Holland has been awarded a $148 million contract to upgrade the Murrumba Downs Wastewater Treatment Plant by Moreton Bay Regional Council. The new contract is for works to increase capacity of the facility to 30.8 megalitres per day and is designed to meet the demands of a growing population within Brisbane's Northern Growth Corridor. The project will utilise the latest technology in bio-nutrient removal and odour control, and will meet rigorous environmental standards. A significant part of the scope of works is a new odour control system, which will reduce the impact of the plant on the surrounding community.
