FLSmidth wins 63 million euro contract in Egypt

Danish engineering group FLSmidth has signed a contract worth 63 million euro (approx. DKK 470m) with Arabian Cement Company (ACC) to supply engineering and equipment for a complete 6,000 tonnes per day cement production line. The line is an expansion of an existing cement plant near the city of Suez which FLSmidth also has supplied.

The contract comprises all major machinery for the production line and includes an ATOX raw mill, a CF silo, a complete ILC 3-support kiln including a 5-stage preheater and an SF Cross-Bar cooler, a clinker storage, two UMS cement mills and cement silos.

A number of FLSmidth subsidiaries and divisions will participate in the project, contributing mill gears, filters, dosing and weighing equipment and a packaging plant. A complete electrical and control equipment package is also included in the contract.
