| Emcor to overhaul D.C. steam tunnel system Emcor Group, Inc. announced that its Emcor Government Services business will perform a major overhaul of a seven mile steam tunnel in Washington, D.C. that serves more than 100 government buildings. Emcor Government Services will perform a range of integral services relating to the tunnel including designing, fabricating and installing 75 ventilation fans and required steel support structures, repairing the concrete walls and ceiling, verifying ventilation air flow and compliance with noise abatement standards, excavating and replacing 80 feet of steam supply and condensate return line, and inspecting, maintaining, and providing housekeeping services for the steam distribution complex.
