Energy-saving switchgear for uncontrolled pumps

Wilo has introduced the "CC-HVAC" series, an especially comfortable control device for the control of uncontrolled glandless and glanded pumps in heating, air-conditioning and ventilation systems. Thereby, the German pump and system expert tops off its product range of the "Comfort Controller" (CC) according to the requirements. With the newly developed switchgear and control device up to six pumps can be controlled automatically at a maximum power of 200 kW. More than eight pumps and larger nominal motor power are possible upon request. The pump operation can be adjusted exactly to the respective installation with the standard control functions available in the control device.

The core of the "Wilo-CC-HVAC" is a system controller programmed by Wilo which takes over the fully automatic control of pump installations. This controller adjusts uncontrolled pumps in single-pump and multi-pump systems to the alternating loads. Due to this operating mode according to the requirements, considerable energy savings can be achieved. When dimensioning circulating pumps for building services the maximum demand of the system is always used as a base. However, in practice so much power is only needed a few days a year. At any other time, uncontrolled pumps cause an unnecessary high energy consumption. If the pump's flow rate in the partial load area is adjusted flexibly, less power is required compared to uncontrolled systems.
