Energy-efficient fluorescent ceiling lampholder

At a time when saving energy is among one of today's most pressing concerns, Leviton is pleased to be the first wiring device manufacturer to offer a Compact Fluorescent Ceiling Lampholder for closed spaces. The energy-efficient Fluorescent Ceiling Lampholder uses a 13W GU24 bi-pin bulb that lasts over 10,000 hours. It consumes only 13 watts of electricity, yet produces the lighting output of a 60-watt incandescent bulb. The new Fluorescent Ceiling Lampholder provides safe, energy-efficient lighting for small interior spaces, while complying with NFPA 70, NEC Section 410.16 fire safety standards. Designed specifically for installation in enclosed areas, the lampholder is ideal for closets, storage areas, garages, basements, attics, workshops and stairwells.

"Consumers are looking to reduce their energy usage and save on household expenses," said Maureen Munnelly, Leviton's Senior Product Marketing Manager. "Compact fluorescent lighting uses 65% less energy than an incandescent bulb and offers homeowners considerable energy savings. Our new lampholder is Energy Star Qualified and offers safe, cost-efficient lighting for homeowners."

The Compact Fluorescent Ceiling Lampholder is designed for use with any standard, non-illuminated wall switch. Contractors will find it quick and easy to install, with its pigtail leads and knockout holes for multiple box configurations. Built to the highest US and international standards, the lampholder is cULus Listed and meets Canadian Electric Code (CEC) requirements for use in closets, when used with a lamp guard. It is also NOM and ANCE certified for Mexico.

A Leviton exclusive, the Compact Fluorescent Ceiling Lampholder underscore's Leviton's commitment to designing innovative products for today's energy smart living. The first Leviton product to be ENERGY STAR qualified, the lampholder is available with or without a 13W bulb, and with and without a lamp guard.
