| Schindler to supply elevators for Egypt's new city Swiss elevator and escalator maker Schindler is to supply and service elevators for a new city of more than 400,000 inhabitants taking shape on the Egyptian sands near Cairo. The new city, called Madinaty, is a collaborative effort among three top US architectural firms. The project is being built in three stages and will be completed in 2010.
