U.S. Army confirms selection of Fluor as LOGCAP IV contractor

Fluor Corporation announced that the U.S. Army has confirmed the June 2007 selection of Fluor as a Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP) IV contractor. Work under the original LOGCAP IV contract award had been suspended while the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) resolved protests by competitors. Fluor's proposal included its teaming partner, ITT Industries, Inc.

In June 2007, the U.S. Army awarded indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contracts to Fluor's Government Group and two other contractors for a performance period of one base year with nine one-year renewal options. The maximum value to any single yearly contract may be up to $5 billion dollars. Work will be competitively bid by the U.S. Army on a task order basis. To date, no specific contract amounts have been booked into Fluor's backlog.
