| Hochtief announces new orders totaling EUR 608 million German builder Hochtief has secured six new orders in North America, Asia and Australia which together have a volume of EUR 608 million. US subsidiary Turner has been engaged as construction manager for the extension of Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan, in a project worth almost EUR 130 million (USD 204 million). In Canada, Hochtief subsidiary Flatiron won the contract to build a steel girder bridge worth EUR 79 million (CAD 127 million) over the river Athabasca. Australian subsidiary Leighton is to build a 16,000 square meter aircraft hangar for around EUR 51 million (USD 80 million) at Chep Lap Kok International Airport in Hong Kong and has also obtained contracts for a good EUR 146 million (USD 230 million) to undertake mining operations at the Didipo gold and copper mine and the Masbate gold mine in the Philippines.
