Hochtief announces new orders totaling EUR 608 million

German builder Hochtief has secured six new orders in North America, Asia and Australia which together have a volume of EUR 608 million. US subsidiary Turner has been engaged as construction manager for the extension of Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan, in a project worth almost EUR 130 million (USD 204 million). In Canada, Hochtief subsidiary Flatiron won the contract to build a steel girder bridge worth EUR 79 million (CAD 127 million) over the river Athabasca.

Australian subsidiary Leighton is to build a 16,000 square meter aircraft hangar for around EUR 51 million (USD 80 million) at Chep Lap Kok International Airport in Hong Kong and has also obtained contracts for a good EUR 146 million (USD 230 million) to undertake mining operations at the Didipo gold and copper mine and the Masbate gold mine in the Philippines. In addition, Leighton will provide mine development services at the Mesa A iron ore operation in Australia under a EUR 202 million (AUD 344 million) contract.
