| Toronto Pearson International Airport wins Award of Excellence The covered walkway at Toronto Pearson International Airport has won an Award of Excellence in the Commercial category at the 2008 Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI) Canada Honours Program. The $1.5 million covered walkway canopies were designed and constructed within four months and serve the east holdroom satellite terminal expansion. The 1000m² re-locatable canopies connect to the existing terminal buildings and consist of two separate walkways serving opposite ends of the aircraft stands. Toronto, Canada-based Halcrow Yolles provided structural engineering services for the walkway canopies. write your comments about the article :: © 2008 Construction News :: home page |
