Kone buys U.S.' Arundel Elevator and Spanish RPG

Finnish lift and escalator maker Kone acquired the Arundel Elevator Company, a full service elevator company based in Baltimore, Maryland. The Arundel Elevator Company is a family owned and operated elevator company focusing on maintenance, modernizations and repairs. Arundel Elevator employs 45 people and has approximately 840 elevators in its maintenance base. The company will be integrated into Kone's Baltimore branch.

Kone also acquired RPG Mantenimiento S.L., an elevator company based in Murcia, Spain. RPG maintains and modernizes elevators in the Murcia province and in the South West of Spain. The company operates mainly in the residential segment. RPG employs 28 people and has approximately 740 units in its maintenance base.
