PBS&J vice president receives FHWA Best Paper Award

Glenn F. Myers, PE, vice president and principal technical professional for national transportation structures for PBS&J recently received a Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) 2008 Accelerated Bridge Construction: Highway for Life Conference Best Paper Award. Of nearly 80 papers presented at the conference, Myers' paper, "The Salt Creek Bridge Replacement – The 18 Day Bridge, " received one of three best paper awards. Myers was presented a plaque during the opening session of the FHWA conference in Baltimore, Maryland, on March 20. The annual conference provides a critical forum for State Bridge Engineers from sponsoring state Departments of Transportation, along with FHWA representatives and others to exchange ideas and experiences with the bridge community, and representatives of both the public and private sector.
