| Mori Building receives Governor's Award for Green Tokyo Fund  Tokyo-based Mori Building Co., Ltd. has been presented with the "Governor's Award" under the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's "Midorinotokyo-Bokin"(Green Tokyo Fund) certificate of appreciation program. The presentation was made by Vice Governor Hideo Sugawara at the inaugural certificate of appreciation award ceremony held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. Midorinotokyo-Bokin fund-raising campaign was established by the Tokyo Metropolitan government with the aim of undertaking a wide scope of activities to "green" the Tokyo environment including transforming the trash island in Tokyo Bay into a green "Umi no Mori" (Forest of the Ocean), increasing tree-lined streets to create a more refreshing cityscape, planting lawns in schoolyards where school children can enjoy more play and learning, and planting of forests that generate less pollen.write your comments about the article :: © 2008 Construction News :: home page |
