Quanta Services reports 4Q and annual results

Houston-based Quanta Services announced results for the three and twelve months ended December 31, 2007. Revenues in the fourth quarter of 2007 were a record high of $879.0 million, compared to revenues of $585.2 million in the fourth quarter of 2006. For the fourth quarter of 2007, income from continuing operations was $33.5 million or $0.18 per diluted share as compared to a loss from continuing operations of $31.2 million or a loss of $0.27 per diluted share for the fourth quarter of 2006. For the fourth quarter of 2007, cash earnings per diluted share were $0.23.

Revenues for the 12 months of 2007 were a record high of $2.66 billion, compared to $2.11 billion for the 12 months of 2006. For the twelve months of 2007, the company reported income from continuing operations of $133.1 million, or earnings per diluted share of $0.87, compared to income from continuing operations of $16.2 million, or earnings per diluted share of $0.14 for the twelve months of 2006.
