| Alpine to build sports stadium in Ukraine Alpine, FCC's Austrian subsidiary, has been selected as preferred bidder to build a new sports stadium in the city of Lemberg, Ukraine, which is to host the UEFA EURO 2012T soccer championship. The complex, on a 25-hectare site near the Lemberg hippodrome, will seat 33,000 and fulfil UEFA standards. The project includes the construction of other facilities such as a multi-function sports stadium, a car park and a hotel. The stadium was designed by architect Albert Wimmer, who also designed the new stadiums in the Austrian cities of Innsbruck and Klagenfurt, as well as the expansion of Salzburg's stadium. Alpine built the Allianz Arena in Munich, which hosted the opening ceremony of the 2006 FIFA World Cup and is one of the world's most spectacular sports venues; ALPINE is also building the Dubai Cricket Stadium.
