| Hochtief wins contracts in Moscow, Rousse and Stockholm German construction giant Hochtief has won three new contracts for infrastructure projects in Northern and Eastern Europe. The largest of these new contracts is the extension of Terminal 2 at Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport, worth approximately EUR 140 million. Hochtief Construction is designing and turnkey constructing a 76,000 square meter complex with six gates, including a baggage transport system and security systems. In addition, the company will link the terminal to the Sheremetyevo railway station which is also currently being constructed by Hochtief. The assignment is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2009. In Sweden, Hochtief Construction, in a joint venture with a Swedish partner, is realizing two sections of Stockholm's northern bypass Norra Länken for roughly EUR 130 million. Under this assignment, the Hochtief subsidiary will construct two double-lane 1.2-kilometer tunnels and an approximately 1-kilometer road section including ramps and turnoffs. Hochtief Construction's share in the joint venture is 50 percent. The project will be completed in 2012. In Bulgaria, Hochtief Construction is building a water treatment plant for the city of Rousse. The facility near the country's border with Romania, will purify the wastewater of 240, 000 inhabitants of the region from 2010 onwards.
