| Black & Veatch to enhance safety in tower erection industry Black & Veatch, the Overland Park-based engineering giant, has joined the National Association of Tower Erectors' (NATE) national partnership program with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The partnership is open to all NATE members who employ tower climbers and aims to advance safety and health practices in the tower erection and services industry. The goal of the partnership is to reduce the percentage of injuries, illnesses and fatalities to a rate below the national average for the tower erection industry. It also seeks to recognize participants who successfully achieve those reductions and to increase awareness among OSHA's compliance safety and health officers about industry hazards. write your comments about the article :: © 2008 Construction News :: home page |
