| SNC-Lavalin acquires Techmat SNC-Lavalin, Canada's biggest engineering firm, announced that its subsidiary, Groupe Qualitas has acquired Groupe Techmat (Techmat), a company specialized in the materials and geotechnical engineering sectors, headquartered in Saguenay, Quebec. Techmat will add about 80 employees to the ranks of SNC-Lavalin's Materials & Geotechnical Engineering (Quebec) Division, which already includes the Qualitas and Terratech work forces.
