Halcrow Yolles project wins 2007 BREEAM Bespoke award

The Central Library in Swindon, Wiltshire has won the Bespoke award at the 2007 BREEAM awards. BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) is one of the world's leading environmental assessment methods for buildings and sets the standard for best practice in sustainable design. The Central Library scored the highest BREEAM 'Excellent' rating in the year it was assessed. British civil engineering firm Halcrow Yolles acted as both structural engineer and BREEAM assessor.
