PCL wins second phase of construction work at Anchorage Airport

PCL Construction Services, Inc. has been awarded the $100-million second phase of the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport South Terminal Seismic and Security Retrofit. This project consists of the seismic and security upgrade of a 300,000-square-foot, three-story airport terminal building. The renovation includes abatement of hazardous materials, demolition of portions of the existing structure, apron sitework and paving, concrete, structural steel, fireproofing, masonry, interior and exterior architectural finishes, roofing, conveyance and baggage handling systems, passenger boarding bridges, and mechanical and electrical systems upgrades and replacement. Construction began in December and is scheduled for completion in October 2009.
