| Chillventa generates interest Nine months before the beginning of Chillventa 2008, the International Trade Fair for Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Ventilation and Heat Pumps from October 15-17, 2008 in Nuremberg, 424 companies and organizations have registered for a net display space of 24,683 m². The companies listed in the exhibitors directory also include country pavilions from Great Britain, the USA, Spain, Turkey and China. Some 80 more individual companies have been announced for these pavilions, but they are not yet included in the list of exhibitors, so the present total number of exhibitors is around 500. Besides the positive development in the number of exhibitors and the space booked, the supporting programme is increasingly taking shape. Chillventa's many honorary sponsoring organizations are involved with attractive and top-quality forums and symposia, such as the noted ASERCOM Symposium the day before the exhibition and the International Heat Pump Symposium organized by DKV. Other highlights include events on "Commercial Refrigeration" and "Refrigeration in the Food Trade". The 2nd day of the exhibition, Thursday, 16 October 2008, is devoted to planners – with a special programme with the working title of "New Air Conditioning in a Day". ASHRAE, the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, is also taking part in the supporting programme at Chillventa and will offer short courses from the ASHRAE Learning Institute. The ASHRAE Learning Institute intends to provide real-world solutions to HVAC&R design and application problems.
