| Kone wins a high-rise project in New York Finnish lift and escalator maker Kone has received a major order from Hines to supply all elevators for the 610 Lexington Avenue project. The 66-story building, located in midtown Manhattan, will consist of a Shangri-La luxury hotel and condominiums. The building's structure will rise as high as 215 meters (705 feet) and include altogether nine elevators. The new building will be located near many of New York City's most notable architectural landmarks - the Seagrams Building at 375 Park Avenue, Lever House, the Citigroup Center and the GE Building. The installation of Kone equipment will start December 2008 and is scheduled to be completed in the Spring of 2010.
