| Rotary hammer core bits handle concrete and brick drilling Metabo Corporation offers a family of 1-piece core bits for rotary hammers that increases the efficiency of drilling into hard, solid materials such as concrete, block and brick. The new 1-piece core bit is widely used by plumbing, electrical and mechanical contractors in applications such as drilling for railing installations, through wall drilling for electrical conduit, plumbing and sanitary pipe and relocating anchors using chemical anchoring systems or grout-in-place anchors. Specialty applications include pest control as well as rigging and firestop systems. Compared to traditional systems comprised of individual core bits, extension shanks, centering bits and threaded arbors that need to be pieced together, Metabo's 1-piece core bit is a simple, single component that is more efficient at transferring the hammer's blow to the material being drilled and is easier to use. This makes the rotary hammer accessory faster at drilling and more effective than the modular system. The carbide tipped bits come in diameters from 1-1/2" to 6" and overall lengths of 12" and 22". The 1-piece core bit is sold as a complete set and is available with either an SDS-Max or Spline drive shank for individual applications. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Construction News :: home page |
