Jacobs to manage construction at John Wayne Airport

Pasadena-based construction company Jacobs Engineering Group announced that a subsidiary company received a contract from the County of Orange to provide construction management services for construction of a new passenger terminal at John Wayne Airport in California. The project has an estimated construction value of $249 million.

Jacobs' responsibilities will include construction management for a new 274,000-square-foot terminal including six new bridged aircraft gates, additional boarding facilities for up to seven regional commuter jets, facilities to house Federal Inspection Services to support international travel, common use terminal equipment and program systems, and deconstruction of an existing parking structure. The improvement program allows the airport to meet its commercial passenger needs through 2015.
