| WSP to carry out conceptual design for Stockholm Bypass project The Swedish Road Administration has chosen London-based WSP to carry out the conceptual design for the Stockholm Bypass project, the biggest highway project ever in Sweden. The £20bn project will extend for 21km – of which 16km in tunnels - from Kungens Kurva, South of Stockholm, to Häggvik, North of the capital. The contract - worth £12M – has been assigned to a consortium made by WSP together with Sweco and Tyréns and is expected to be completed by the end of 2009 with the start of the construction work planned in 2011 at the earliest. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Construction News :: home page |
