Turner wins new US contract

Hochtief‘s American subsidiary Turner is to erect a hospital complex for EUR 166.6 million (USD 235 million). In the framework of a joint venture, the company has also received a design/build contract for a US Army base for EUR 338.6 million (USD 477.5 million), of which the Turner share is EUR 172.7 million (USD 243.5 million).

In the case of the children's hospital contract in Philadelphia (Pennsylvania), Turner was already responsible for the first phase of construction, which is nearing completion. The second complex will provide another 40,000 square meters of space. This is currently one of the largest healthcare expansion programs in the USA.

In its second Army Corps of Engineers contract this year, Turner is to construct a base for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Aberdeen (Maryland) within the framework of the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Program. When work is completed, the base will have some 5,000 civilian employees. In this contract, Turner is lead company in a joint venture with Grunley Construction and Kinsley Construction.
