| Next phase of The Chicago Spire construction begins Shelbourne Development Group, Inc. announced that construction is now underway on the ramps from lower Lake Shore Drive to The Chicago Spire site. The ramps will serve as a main artery for vehicles entering and exiting the site at 400 North Lake Shore Drive, alleviating most of the traffic impact on the surrounding neighborhood. Ramps will be built from both the north and southbound lanes on lower Lake Shore Drive directly accessing the site along its Ogden Slip side. Construction on the 2,000-foot iconic residential building began in June 2007.
