| Magnetek begins shipping E-Force wind power inverters Magnetek, Inc. announced that it has started shipping the first production units of its new multi-megawatt E-Force wind power inverter to a leading U.S. wind turbine builder under a 60-unit order scheduled for delivery through March 2008. Initial units are expected to be installed on domestic wind farms. Utilizing state-of-the-art digital technology, Magnetek's modular E-Force wind power inverters transform the fluctuating power that normally flows from wind turbine generators into the steady flow of clean 60-cycle AC power required to interface with the utility power transmission grid. Modular in design, the new E-Force inverters feature proprietary cooling technology and are well suited for wind turbines ranging from 625 kilowatts up to 5 megawatts. Headquartered in Menomonee Falls, WI in the greater Milwaukee area, Magnetek manufactures digital power and motion control systems used in material-handling, people-moving, communications and energy delivery. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Construction News :: home page |
