| Acciona named best renewables developer of the year AccionaEnergy has won the Corporate Developer of the Year Award, instituted by the consultancy firm Ernst&Young and the Euromoney financial communication group "for its major contribution to the development of large-scale renewables projects". This is the fourth edition of the Global Renewable Energy Awards set up by Euromoney and Ernst&Young. The aim is to highlight the work of companies, individuals and projects that have contributed most to driving the sector forward. The Jury highlighted Acciona's "clear contribution and commitment to the development of renewable energy sources on a worldwide scale". In 2006 Acciona was the biggest European developer of windparks, with 722 MW installed.
