| KONE wins an order for the Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi Finland-based KONE, one of the world's largest elevator makers, has signed a contract with Arabian Construction Company (ACC) for the delivery of all elevators and escalators for the Etihad Towers development in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The project is a prestigious multi-purpose development comprising a total of five towers ranging from 53 to 77 floors. The towers will be located on the waterfront site close to Abu Dhabi's central business district. The building complex will feature a five-star hotel, a boutique shopping mall, a hypermarket, an office tower and luxury residential apartments. The Etihad Towers development is set to be one of the most prestigious projects in Abu Dhabi. The towers will be equipped with 62 elevators and 9 escalators. When installed, the fastest elevators will travel at the maximum speed of 7 m/s and the highest travel distance will be 295 meters.
