| Centex receives the highest award for excellence Centex, one of the largest homebuilders in the United States, has received the 2007 J.D. Power and Associates Platinum Award for Excellence in Customer Satisfaction among the nation's largest home builders, and earned special honors for its mortgage-lending operations as well. Centex received the highest overall average score among the largest home-building corporations included in the J.D. Power and Associates 2007 New Home Builder Customer Satisfaction Study. In addition to the Platinum Award, Centex ranked highest in 14 out of 30 study markets in which Centex operates, and also ranked among the top five in all of the 30 markets where Centex is represented. Qualification for the Platinum Award depends on several requirements. The builder must operate in at least half of the markets surveyed by J.D. Power and Associates. Every division in every market must achieve above market- average scores, with an average index score that exceeds the 90th percentile of the study average. Upon fulfilling these criteria, the Platinum Award is presented to the builder with the highest weighted average of scores in the study. This is the first time Centex has received the Platinum Award, which has not been conferred on a home builder in more than two years. America's new homeowners also rank Centex highest in quality in one or more markets in the inaugural New-Home Quality Study. In this year's study, Centex achieved 14 top rankings, nine No. 2 rankings and five No. 3 rankings. The company's home- building operations exceeded most competitors in every study market in which it operates. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Construction News :: home page |
