| Amec wins Middle East contract British construction giant Amec has been awarded a five-year consultancy and engineering services contract by the Kuwait National Petroleum Company, covering upgrades, refurbishment and modifications on Kuwait's three existing refineries. The contract is worth over 23.3 million Kuwait Dinars (approximately £41.9 million at current exchange rate). Starting immediately, the work covers provision of services management, engineering services, including concept/basic design, process and general engineering covering the complete refineries activities. Work also involves project and construction management services, and technical assistance both inside and outside Kuwait.
