| Astaldi wins railway contract in Bulgaria The Ministry of Transportation of Bulgaria awarded to Italy-based construction company Astaldi the contract for the design, construction and modernization of the 104-km railway line Plovdiv-Svilengrad, which is part of the European corridors (T.E.N.) IV and IX, for an amount of € 162.5 million. The contract provides for the design and construction of a new 90-km-long single-track railway line, and for the rehabilitation of an already existing 15-km-long railway line.
