| ineltec covers every aspect of building technology The 23rd ineltec, the Technology Fair for Building and Infrastructure, will be held at the Exhibition Center Basel from 4 to 7 September 2007. Over an area of 36,000 m² (gross) exhibitors will be presenting the latest building technology products and solutions at the most important high-technology meeting place for Switzerland and neighboring countries. The focus of the new ineltec is on building technology and infrastructure. As a result of the high levels of investment involved in modern construction projects, new technologies are now tested and selected at a very early stage. Therefore architects are increasingly becoming involved, not only with the shell of the building itself, but also with the way in which the building functions, how it is used and how it can be reused, together with the related technologies. The exhibitors' products and services are aimed at visitors from construction-related industries, including corporate and departmental managers, plumbers, electricians, architects and leading representatives from the field of facility management. Swiss Exhibition would like to make young people aware of the technical career opportunities in the technology industry and provide them with advice and support when choosing a career. Although Switzerland has an extensive market in high-technology products and services, prospective employees usually opt for a managerial rather than a technical career. The World Skills project, which forms part of the special Future Building show, gives young people the opportunity to experience the varied facets of a technical career at first hand. A training event for World Skills 2007 (to be held at Shizuoka in Japan) will take place at ineltec. Two candidates from Switzerland and two from Liechtenstein will take part in the domestic and industrial electrician categories of the international competition and will undergoing training for the competition at the exhibition in full public view. For the first time, go, the Technology Fair for Automation and Electronics, is being held in parallel with ineltec. Staging the two events at the same time will increase the level of interest amongst visitors and reduce the amount of resources (both equipment and staff) needed by exhibitors. The field of industrial electronics is a new addition to go. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Construction News :: home page |
