| Foundation laying ceremony for Yantai Shimao No.1 The Harbour On the morning of 9 July 2007, a grand foundation laying ceremony for Yantai Shimao No.1 The Harbour was held. Located at the Seafront Plaza in Yantai's city centre, Yantai Shimao No.1 The Harbour faces the national tax bureau building to the east, and connects with No. 2 Road to its south. The west side of the project is Jie Fang Road while its north faces the Main Road. With a total gross floor area of 277,000 square metres, the project comprises three commercial towers over 54, 56 and 59 floors respectively, and an integrated 57-floor tower. The integrated tower is 323 metres in height. The planned project will be a landmark seashore architectural compound in Yantai and the Gaozhou Peninsula, amalgamating a super five star hotel, full sea view apartments and commercial office buildings.
