| WSP offers fire safety management and risk assessment services WSP can now offer fire safety management and risk assessment services in the UK (including Scotland and Ireland) through specialists within the WSP Fire Engineering team in the UK. These services should interest every client with a property portfolio, as recent changes in legislation have removed many of the old regulations relating to the management of fire safety in premises such as the Workplace Regulations and the Fire Precautions Act and replaced them with a self assessing, risk management approach. This means that clients will no longer get a stamp of approval in the form of a fire certificate from the local fire officer. Instead, they have to self-certify and the fire service role is one of enforcement.
