| Jerde-designed Kanyon wins ULI Award for Excellence  Los Angeles-based architectural and urban planning firm, The Jerde Partnership, received Urban Land Institute's Award for Excellence for Kanyon in Istanbul at the ULI Europe Spring Trends Conference. The ULI Award for Excellence is the real estate community's most prestigious award, defining the standard for real estate development practice worldwide. "Kanyon is an open-air 'urban oasis' in the dense financial district of Istanbul. Its architecture takes the Turkish street culture into a modern environment that allows working, living and shopping to flow together organically and in comfort", explained John Simones, partner and director of design at The Jerde Partnership, who was the lead designer on the project.The ULI Award for Excellence is the centerpiece of ULI's efforts to identify and promote best practices in all types of real estate development.
